Dr Lal is an Ophthalmologist practising at the Delhi Eye Centre in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Dr Lal completed his MBBS and MS from K.G.M.C, the University of Lucknow in 1983. He has gained an experience of 34 years in this field. He is a member of the Delhi Medical Council. He did a live demonstration of cataract surgery with injection (Topical- Phaco), and that was covered by the media as well in 1997. Since that he has done more than 100 live demonstrations of Cataract surgeries with no injection, no pad, no stitch at national and international level. He has served as the President to the Delhi Ophthalmological Society and Chairman, Department of CME, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He also served as the Treasurer of All India Ophthalmological Society (2008-2014).
