2. Eat Calcium-Rich Foods

The duo also shared the importance of calcium-rich foods in the video. Kareena Kapoor Khan said that in one pregnancy, a woman loses five years of calcium in the body. 3. Do Not Avoid Rice

According to Rujuta Divekar, rice should be taken every day. She says the reason why rice should be eaten every day is that rice allows women to bring back a lot of the good bacteria that delivery may have washed out. Kareena Kapoor was asked to eat rice twice a day by her dietician Rujuta Divekar.

4. Don’t Worry About Dark Circles

The duo also talked about the dark circles a lot of women develop post-pregnancy. Diwekar suggested increasing the intake of foods that are rich in iron and Vitamin B12, such as yoghurt, pickle, and pomegranate to solve the problem of dark circles. Kareena Kapoor Khan had a lot of til ka laddoos(sesame seed) that contain iron and vitamin B12, which helped her get rid of dark circles. However, everything should be taken in controlled amounts.

5. Refrain From Crash Diets

One important thing that the duo talked about repeatedly was the importance of refraining from crash diets. Diwekar said that crash diets lead to a lot of lifestyle disorders, including post pregnancy thyroid disorders. When you are on a crash diet, the calorie intake is reduced, and so the body is forced to slow down its metabolism, explained Diwekar. One must not just focus on losing weight but also on rebuilding bone and muscle density. Diwekar further explained that when you have more muscles, you look more compact; while less bone and muscle makes you look flabbier.

6. Exercise is A Must

Kareena Kapoor Khan said, “Rujuta says that walking is the best exercise. Post pregnancy, when even getting on a treadmill can be tough, 20 minutes of walking can really help.” She further added, “It has helped me beautifully. I can already feel my core strength increasing.” Hence, one must go for a walk daily to get a slimmer body.

So, getting back in shape after pregnancy is not that difficult at all. You just need to focus on what you eat, go for a walk daily and avoid junk food to stay healthy, fit, and happy.
