1. Insufficient sleep

But just answer one thing, don’t you waste half of the time checking your WhatsApp? We agree you have to complete your work on time, but you can put your phone in flight mode until you finish your work?
Time management is the only thing that we have to learn and is the most common health mistakes that teens make. They don’t manage time! You know how important it is to squeeze in eight hours of sleep every night, don’t you? But do you give importance to your bedtime? Research shows that individuals who sleep less than eight hours every day are more likely to gain weight than those who get proper eight-hour sleep.

2. Skipping Morning Meal

What most of the teens do is, they spend more time on getting ready and less or no time on having their meal, isn’t it? Breakfast is the first meal of the day and the most important meal of the day. But are you giving it that importance? If not, you need to think about it.
As parents, you must make your teens habitual to eat breakfast, and you have to inculcate this habit in childhood. They won’t listen once they grow up, you know them better, right? Many teenagers miss breakfast just because they feel it’s going to help them lose some weight! But let us tell you, it’s just a myth and nothing else! Make sure you have your breakfast without any distraction, you know what we mean by the term here, just turn off your mobile data so that you only focus on eating and you finish it without running late for your class!
3. Not Drinking Enough Water
Who can live without water? No one, right? But sadly, people even forget to drink water sometimes! The most common mistake that teens make is that they choose cold drinks over water! Can you really replace water with any sugary or carbonated beverage? But people actually do this. Not drinking enough water can affect your mood, cause dehydration and can even give you wrinkles.
Who wants to look more than their age? These lines are your enemies as they are one of the most common signs of ageing, and you would never want to have them on your face! Did you know it can also cause kidney stones? Not only kidney stones but other urinary tract infections too! Scared? Don’t be, because you can deal with this very easily! 4. Dieting
Teens, especially girls, diet to have that size zero! What happens is, when teens step into the college world, they want to be noticed and shine among friends, which is completely fine! But what they do is not at all good! Some girls begin to diet, and boys start hitting the gym. Okay, we understand there’s nothing wrong with going to the gym. People even skip meals to cater to their weight loss effort but is it right? Is your salad diet going to help meet all your nutritional needs? Say no to a diet! You”ll just have to be a bit careful about what you eat and when you eat. Teenagers! It’s your growing stage, and you have high nutritional needs during this period. So, don’t eat less and do not overeat.
5. Depending on Canteen Food
Your mom wakes up early in the morning, prepares breakfast for you and you still eat your college canteen! The food there is tempting but not healthier than what your mom has packed in your tiffin! It’s okay to eat canteen food when your mom couldn’t prepare breakfast, or maybe you left your box at home, but not every day! Stick to homemade food and respect your mother’s efforts and thank your mom for all she that does for you!
6. Alcohol Consumption
I drank because my seniors forced me! I did because everyone was doing it and it would have been an awkward situation if I had said no to it! All these are silly excuses that teens make! You don’t have to do something just to impress others! Most of the teenagers start drinking just to behave like grown-ups! It has become a trend nowadays! Addictive drinking can lead to fatal alcohol poisoning, lifelong health problems like organ fail or even mental issues. So, quit alcohol because it is indeed a bad habit.
